SHIPPING:
- Cost is based on the weight of your items + where you live.
- If shipping shows as $150, that's because I've never shipped to your country or because you've placed an order for a huge amount of stuff. Email me and I'll figure out what actual shipping will cost, and I'll charge you that. I can either give you a credit after you've placed your order (just email me), or you can wait and place your order after I add the weight/destination to the store.
- If you're interested in an epic amount of stuff for your staff or store, please email me.
RETURNED PACKAGES:
If your package is returned to us because you provided an undeliverable address, we will either 1) refund your purchase less the shipping charges or 2) reship the package at your expense (you'll need to pay the shipping again).
Sales tax is included in the price for Washington State sales.

We reached the stretch goal!
– Mon, Aug 31, 2020 at 06:56:18 PM
Thanks for pushing the campaign across the line -- it reached the $12,000 stretch goal (and then some) yesterday! So: everyone who pledged at a $40 level or higher gets a reusable mask.
The clear winner in voting was:
(If folks voted for more than one color, I counted the vote as the color they named first. I disregarded votes for the gray mask because, as I said, you'll be able to choose that anyway, though it sounds like many of you are excited for those too.)
If you qualify, when you get your Backerkit surveys you'll get a choice between a) a blue mask; b) a gray mask with the black and white winged book symbol; and c) a plain gray mask.
There will be detailed descriptions of each of these when you make your choice, and a chance to purchase more masks if you want them.
I'm trying to think of my favorite celebratory book... I still love my collected two volume hardcover set of The Complete Far Side by Gary Larson, a celebration of my favorite comic strip of all time. Though now that Larson has started making Far Side comics again it's less than complete, which is yet another reason to celebrate.
I'll send the next update when the Backerkit surveys go out (later this week I hope).
Time to Vote for the Stretch Goal Masks!
– Wed, Aug 19, 2020 at 10:42:16 PM
Since we're so close to the $12,00 stretch goal for reusable masks, voting for the mask color is now open! When the Kickstarter is done, voting is closed.
In the comments, please vote for your favorite mask color, or let me know if you'd prefer a heavier, larger heathered charcoal mask instead. (details and photos of the fit of each below)
Consider these four masks and tell me which color you'd prefer.
Fabric measures about 8.25" wide x 4.5" high at midpoint.
3 layers of fabric (poly-cotton blend) though it feels like 2 layers of athletic T-shirt material on each side of the filter.
Has an elastic loop on each side that goes behind each ear and can be adjusted for size / tension.
Includes one replaceable filter. You can buy more PM2.5 filters online that fit these masks, but I prefer it without one.
I've been wearing the sample that was sent to me by the printer for a few weeks now. I really like it -- it's not too thick or thin, and it doesn't move around much despite the fact that it doesn't tuck beneath my chin. (The end of the mask kind of goes straight down.) I prefer wearing it without the filter.
Here's a photo of my daughter wearing the sample I have -- you can see how it goes down below her chin but doesn't tuck under. Or maybe you can't? Her chin is not that long.
Or let me know if this sounds better to you. I've been considering stocking a few larger, heavier reusable masks for folks who'd prefer them. The one I have in mind is a plain, heathered charcoal mask that is a little higher in the middle, tucks under the chin, and is made of heavier fabric. The two elastic bands go behind the head, with the top one above your ears. (I wear the lower band behind my neck. Kinda nice because you can just push the mask down when not wearing it.) I like this mask, too, but it's a bit too thick to wear when I'm walking uphill in the heat, and I can't print all over it without stopping the air from flowing through it.
Fabric measures 7.25" wide x 6.5" high in the center (and 3.5" high at the sides)
3-ply poly-cotton blend (think thick T-shirt material, feels more like cotton)
Two elastic loops that go around your head.
I've been playing with it a bit, too. The right side is a great place to iron on a winged book patch if you've got one, too.
Again, please vote in the comments for the color you'd prefer, or if you think you'll go for a plain heathered charcoal mask instead.
Thanks!

Correction about printed mask description + clarification on choices
over 4 years ago
– Tue, Aug 18, 2020 at 05:56:04 PM
Hey Everyone,
Just got a note from the mask manufacturer after I asked for clarification about them. The printed masks are 2layers (not 3aspreviously stated) of cotton/polyester fabric (but way more polyester) plus the filter between them.
You'll have three choices for a free mask, if we hit the stretch goal:
a printed mask of whatever color gets the most votes (2 layers of fabric plus filter)
a plain heathered gray mask (heavier, under the chin)
a heathered gray mask with a black and white winged book design on the right side. See photo below. (The print may be slightly irregular because of folds in the fabric.)
Please keep voting for the mask color of your choice in the comments for the previous update, and let me know if you have any questions / concerns.
